The Presidential In-awe-guration of World War We; Sink or Swim? Sync!
Hi Planet Person, here’s the blog ‘n white …
What’s faster than a nasty tweet?
More powerful than a local motive?
Able to reach all Beings in a single bound?
Look! Into our eyes …
It’s our world! It’s our face!
Wo – it’s Synchronistory!
Move over Superman, hello Everyman! Time to change the game-plan and put the human back in Humanity. Time to make history in synchronicity. Synchronistory!
Sync is a new word for a new world with an out-of-this-world new vision that will showcase the face of our Global Selfie from its “good side” in real time for the very first time. And its about time.
Nope … no aliens involved (other than the alienation from each other and Self).
Nope … no natural or manmade catastrophes to unite us (just creativity to inspire us).
Nope … no competitions with Winners vs. Losers (the seeming impossible becomes possible).
Just Us; a world of orphaned nations in the ultimate dysfunctional global family, starring in their unprepared roles of a lifetime while hurtling through Infinity on a tiny spit of land called Earth without a User Manuel to guide them about how to “do life” (much less a clue about how to unhinge from that prison-like sentence and redefine the beauty that truly implies).
Sync is a spectacular music-driven “B’earthday” Party for Humanity to honour the Planet, celebrating every living being in an epic story about the multifaceted face of our Global Selfie – broadcast live worldwide. For the very first time an audience doesn’t just come to an event, they become it … as we harmonise the world in the key of We.
That’s the stunning goal. But to get to “wow” we’ll need a mega tuning fork to realign the chaotic global vibe.
We’re a world of lost souls trying to impress each other by being someone or something we’re not for fear of being rejected for who we truly are. And it’s caught us in its grid like a broken record. We put on airs and personas like a compulsive wardrobe change till we’re so app’d till we sn’app … so distorted and tweeted and Facebooked … that we wind up with an “unreality check” that’s become a U.S. President-eject (no disrespect).
Talk about the ultimate “psy-fi” film, this world has now whirled straight off the charts and into the chaos of chaUS that’s split the world apart.
Trumpty Dumpty sat on his wall(et).
Trumpty Dumpty tweeted and phone called.
All of his Cabinet and all of his friends,
Couldn’t continue to Dumpty defend.
And yet remarkably, many still do. Or try to.
But Trumpty isn’t our true problem. It’s We The People, with a peephole into our unaddressed dark side that now refuses to further hide from the face of our Global Selfie. He’s in because we’re out – of touch, with each other and ourselves. Here we are … who voted for him by default, or who didn’t vote at all (as a protest over lack of good choice), or who voted for him with fervour and now secretly wonder if we made a great blunder (but anyway, we can’t even hear ourselves think because we’re too busy staunchly defending our decision at risk of being further condemned for it).
He is We … the shadow side of our festering nature … the opposing half of our same human coin. And no matter how much we flip that coin it still comes up headaches and tailspins. Any wonder why we’re so flipped out?
Suddenly we’re aware of a heartache in the heartland that’s been at the heart of our global land forever. It’s awaking nee quaking the entire human spectrum. Every time we (often rightfully) decry Trumpty and his policy we’re actually decrying our dissociated Self; that phantom side whose face of Poverty or Anonymity represents the vast majority we prefer not to see, much less integrate. Not all of us react this way but enough of us … the Leaderships of us … the conundrum of us.
We The People are a dysfunctional global family not a Hallmark greeting card family. We don’t necessarily love each other much less like each other (much less our Self) – nor must we. However it behooves us to at least respect each other (bodily or emotional harm notwithstanding). But harm we do, from deeply entrenched thoughts and behaviours reinforced over time and spread virally from individual to community to society. The breeding ground is steeped in fertile ground; of our hidden conflictual nature which then bears witness in the world of Leaders of Nations & Corporations.
We are conflicted about and possessive of our identity – individually, nationalistically and ideologically. Am I my country of birth? Or my country of choice? Or the country of my spouse and children? Or the country of my employ? Am I the career that I have? Or the one that I aspire to? Am I the beliefs that I cherish or the persona I’ve created on my social media page? Am I special? Am I worthy? Will you love me? If not who?
It’s a Global Identity Crisis akin to World War III. World War Me.
And then there’s World War We; a bunch of orphaned sibling nations in sibling rivalry all vying for the attention of a non-existent Parent Figure that’s attributed to anyone but ourselves (Political or Religious Leaders, Celebrities, Teachers, Preachers, News Media, and so many other symbols we worship in large or small measure). When little sibling is denied opportunity to join the party … to copycat the lustre they behold in the bestowed (mimicry being the sincerest form of flattery) rejection and frustration ferment because all human roads lead to an ultimate source; the yearning for belonging and worth.
Perhaps our role in this game of life is that of wise elder, who sees with more clarity and believes this is charity when doled out to the less privileged (read: righteous Ego). Or perhaps our role is that of the less privileged majority, whose survival mojo is Immediate Gratification to relieve the indignation and imploding frustration at having to perpetually survive (which gives way to emotional vote-exploding).
It’s hard being Human, much less connected to and affected by each other’s multifaceted being..
Somewhere wedged between the extremes of upper echelons and lower rankers are billions of other beings whose versions of life have something at stake and will stake their claim on it come hell or high water (or in this case swamp water).
The U.S. has voted and the world has now noted. And we’re all reeling from our four and far corners, because at the end of the day of the night of the month of the year-in-and-year-out of our tethered nerves and seething spirits … we are seeded by the same human needs that now truly challenge the entire global body. This Presidential In-awe-guration is our emergency to emerge and see – really see – who we are in relation to our own person and that of our Planet Person. To see what we ignore. To see what we selectively see. To see why we think what we do. To see why we refuse to see things differently. To see that sometimes what we think we see is not the only reality. To see ourselves differently as well as similarly, and also with objectivity. And so on.
Will we?
Distant and ailing parts of the global body now reach out to others to fortify universally sought after ideals that are currently at risk and can compromise the health of our organism’s core. America is Heart. Europe is Brain. Asia is Limbs. Africa is Lungs. South America is Kidneys. Antartica is Intestines. Australia is Liver. And all are interchangeable as well.
But a global body unaware of its collective parts is an anaesthetised one. A comatose one. And if the global body is asleep at the wheel, then who’s driving us? Uh Oh.
Still don’t get it? Go to sleep. And when your lover, kid, pet, the wind – stirs sufficiently, yanking alllll that snuggly blankie (or leaves if you’re in the jungle … or plastic if you’re homeless, etc.), see if that doesn’t rile you awake. One part shifts, the rest reacts. That’s us, in bed together on this tiny spit of land careening into the infinity of our eternity.
Times are different than the tumultuous ’60’s, when international uprisings and ideology spread through the collective zeitgeist irrespective of culture or topography. This time on the spiral of denial, tech connect is the propellant and sometimes repellant, forcing us to see and feel things first hand. A Women’s March in Washington reverberates to Berlin to Australia to the private world of an online tweeter and an instagram follower somewhere on Earth, in real time. We’ve become aligned, online. Onlinement. This technological artery that courses through our vain, worldwide veins and influences us in a singular button push (as well, his nuke codes) may wind up becoming the most galvanising element of this vexing, historic moment of truth.
Maybe you don’t have internet but you’re probably not far from someone or someplace that does. And if you’re living in a war torn or poverty stricken region you’re still affected by virtue of your nation’s leadership that will surely react … thus trickling down to how it governs you.
Like it or not, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, the marriage of Mother (Country) and Mother (Earth) to this 45th ill-suited suitor is now provoking us all. He said he’d drain the swamp, and his ways are becoming swampier than the swamp itself. If you think you’re taking sides pro or con – or veering sideways by sidestepping sides – there’s ultimately only one side that’s been broadsided by our blindside of this lopsided ride; checking our inside to understand how we wound up with an outside that reflects our Dark Side.
We may get lathered up about each others’ ideologies, customs, odors or colours. But honestly, due to our sheer global numbers we have no more luxury to balk nor be victim of nor defined by an Either Or mentality which slices us into halves and have nots. These polarities simply must be integrated into a more heart-oriented way of life if for no other reason than the surge of unconscious Us and the dearth of earth upon which to house those many of Us.
Flower species; Infinite kinds. Human Species; Infinite varieties in kind. Multiplicity and complicity exist within Nature yet less so in Human Nature. We fight; for territorial and ideological right. We’re novices learning how to use our Mind mindfully as opposed to abusing it mindlessly. And here we go again at the threshold; to race time before it erases all our races come whomever’s face may sit in those thrones of global power.
Ironically this most unlikely president’s legacy-by-default may wind up being less about his policy than his symbology; of Uniting by Dividing. The more he inverts the snow globe and Earth pitches to extremes, the more we feel it ensemble. Joy. Fear. Outrage. Feel we do and respond we are; in protests, meditation groups, songs, videos, fashion, product marketing campaigns, tweets, comedy spoofs, and so on. Creativity is a gift bestowed upon us all. Like air and water itself, it’s our most precious natural resource. How we use it is up to us.
Humanity in sanity or Humanity insanity? These days it’s a “mindfield” of reactivity. When our world of i-things replaces our eyes … when “e”ing is believing … when tech-connect winds up disconnecting us, from our selves and each other … when we’ve forgotten that Nature & Human Nature are intrinsically linked, and that our homeland isn’t just a geographical dwelling but a body within which our soul is housed conjoined with numerous other soul-inhabited life forms, all of which inhabit a still grander living organism called Earth … when we’ve forgotten that we are Energy in form but are so misinformed that we abuse the privilege of our existence with toxic behaviour and toxic thought in the name of righting wrong … when we continue to procreate without pause to consider that who we birth is entering this earth without choice or a user manual, and that we are holding the precious key to their right to be … when we sleepwalk through an existence we believe we brazenly own … we have a choice. We can choose to pause. To take a conscious breath. To take an Inner Selfie and quietly befriend through a non-distorted lens that dreaded enemy within, to whom we’re ironically the closest – our Self.
It may feel like World War Me and we’re afraid. But if we remove the e from Fear we can go very Far.
So let’s chill. Let’s take five. Let’s honour the Planet and retune the global vibe. Let’s Sync it in the key of We, with a breathtaking global “B’earthday” Party for Humanity where the guest of honour is Everybeing.
Let’s Get SYNC’D!
Sync BIG! Planet Person

global know-mad
